Youth Circus (9 – 16 years) – Intermediate Level

This intermediate level class is for youth with some circus experience who are ready to build skills and confidence across a range of disciplines.

Students will train on aerial apparatus including trapeze, silks and hammock, alongside ground-based skills such as juggling, partner acro, hula hoop, contortion, and more.

Classes focus on developing strong technique, coordination, and body awareness, while encouraging creativity and exploration.

Sessions are fully guided, supportive, and designed to challenge students safely as they continue to grow as well-rounded circus artists.

Requirements:

Students have attended and completed a circus beginner class in the past.

Treesa Green

Treesa has trained in circus arts, yoga, and acroyoga for over a decade across Canterbury, Wellington, Auckland, and Sydney. Since 2016, she has been teaching children, youth, and adults in Christchurch, Selwyn, and the Banks Peninsula. Her favourite disciplines include trapeze, duo aerials, hand balancing, and partner acro, though she is skilled in a wide range of circus arts, from silks and hammock to hula hoops, juggling, lyra, and tumbling. Treesa creates supportive, fun classes where students of all abilities can explore movement, build confidence, and enjoy the creativity and excitement of circus.
