Talita Tavares

Talita is a Brazilian dance and movement educator with over 20 years’ experience teaching partner and social dance in Brazil, Spain, and Aotearoa New Zealand. Trained across Samba, Salsa, Forró, Bolero, Tango, Soltinho, and Zouk, she co-founded a large dance school in Brazil and completed specialised teacher training programs. Talita’s classes are welcoming to all levels, combining clear, beginner-friendly instruction with depth and musicality for experienced dancers. She weaves in mindful movement and grounding practices to foster confidence, connection, and joy, helping students feel expressive, safe, and at home in their bodies through dance.
