Low Impact Shuffle is a fun, low-impact dance fitness class set to upbeat electronic music.

Using rhythmic footwork inspired by moves like the Running Man and Charleston, participants build coordination, balance, stamina, and confidence while enjoying a gentle cardio workout. With options for all abilities, this welcoming class makes movement accessible, energising, and enjoyable.

Part of the MOVE Happy Challenge Diabetes Programme.

Shannon Gilmore

Shannon is a contemporary dancer who loves exploring improvised movement and discovering the play in everyday life. Her dance journey has taken her around the world, and she is a familiar and passionate presence in Ōtautahi’s performing arts community.

Her classes are full of energy, creativity, and fun – from high-energy Shuffle-Cutting to mindful Contact Improvisation, and playful sessions for the whole family. Shannon is curious about how movement can heal and connect us, and she delights in creating welcoming, expressive spaces where everyone can move, play, and explore with joy.
