I am the Tree and the Forest (12-18 years)

A journey of metamorphosis from girl to woman through dance.

This class offers a transformative journey from girlhood to womanhood through movement. Tamara blends visualisation, yoga, music, and African dance to create a uniquely supportive space where young women can feel present and safe in their bodies. Within this nurturing environment, they can discover acceptance, self-worth, strength, community, and sisterhood, while gaining awareness of the cyclical nature of a woman’s body and the role hormones play in that evolution.

Through embodied dance, participants explore their nervous systems and experience sensation and music on a deep, cellular level – free from mirrors and phones. Guided visualisations help cultivate nourishment and self-love from within, often more accessible when not tied to self-judgment. This process honours the ritual of releasing girlhood and stepping into empowered womanhood. Like a tree rooted in a thriving forest, each young woman learns to feed her senses with love and positive thought while drawing strength, connection, and mutual support from her community.
