Fabric Foundations (Silks & Hammock) – Adult (16+)

Learn the essentials of aerial silks and hammock, with a focus on strength, flexibility, and safe technique.

Students will explore basic climbs, foot locks, wraps, hip keys, and simple shapes, working close to the ground to build confidence and body awareness.

This class is ideal for absolute beginners or anyone wanting to refresh or strengthen their foundations before progressing further.

Requirements:

Please bring or wear leggings to protect your skin from the aerial apparatus and bring a long sleeve top to put on for certain aerial skills

Please make sure your clothes don’t have zips as they can damage our aerial fabrics

Kate Litt

Kate has trained in circus arts for over 15 years and is a multidisciplinary aerialist with deep experience in aerial silks, lyra, and trapeze, alongside exploring ground‑based movement. With a holistic, body‑centred approach, she is passionate about safe, sustainable training that builds lasting strength, mobility, and body awareness – helping students gain confidence and flexibility both in and out of the air. Drawing from a wide range of movement influences, Kate encourages curiosity, play, and personal expression in every class – believing that growth in aerial arts is about more than technique; it’s about connection, self‑discovery, and embodied confidence.
