Embodied Voice: Voice & Movement Exploration

Discover your voice as part of your body in a playful, supportive space. This class explores sound, movement, and breath, inviting you to connect with your voice and how it moves through your body.

Through gentle release work, simple movement, guided listening, and shared sound, you’ll explore curiosity, awareness, and self-expression – without pressure to sing “perfectly” or create finished pieces.

Open to all levels, no prior experience needed.

Requirements:

Please bring a yoga mat and a warm top for any lying down floor work.

Mondays @ 7:30-8:30pm (No classes on Public Holidays)

Sally Stockwell

Sally Stockwell is a Christchurch-based actor, theatre-maker, singer-songwriter, and voice teacher with over 30 years of experience across theatre, film, television and music. She creates welcoming, inclusive spaces where people of all abilities can explore and connect with their voices through breath, resonance, movement, and text. Trained at Toi Whakaari and Pantheatre (France), and with extensive Roy Hart Voicework experience, Sally brings expertise, warmth, and encouragement to her teaching. She loves supporting individuals and communities to build confidence, express themselves, and discover joy through embodied voice and creative practice.
