Choreographic Games

In this class, participants are guided through a range of choreographic tools and creative practices, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and shared exploration. Working together, the group will build compositions and experiment with the fundamentals of contemporary performance-making.

The focus for the term is performance scores – written prompts and instructions that generate movement – alongside the use of other materials such as writing, sound and costume. Space is held for discussion, reflection and exchanging ideas as a group.

This class is ideal for anyone wanting to deepen their relationship with dance beyond training, and step into a more creative, curious and choreographic way of moving together.
